Our story
OCTOV is a tech collective born in 2014 and raised in Montreal. It came to life thanks to a group of friends passionate about electronic music.
Bérénice and Maxime often went out at Salon Daome to partake to raves. At that time, techno events were not that numerous and that popular in Montreal. Bérénice and Maxime wanted to share their love for music, their European inspirations and make it known and loved on the music scene in Montreal. That is why OCTOV was born. Rodolphe joined them a few months later.
Since then, they work together to create, share, organise, and supervise significant cultural experiences. The three of them manage the organization, and are getting precious help from their team of around fifteen volunteers - basically techno lovers. OCTOV experiences are events, from production to digital art and VJing. This approach gave OCTOV the opportunity to find its own place on the Night scene.
OCTOV is now an emblematic collective, a true shaker of Montreal nights.
How does
OCTOV work?
Each event can be seen as a trip in the heart of electronic culture. OCTOV has a simple objective: offering people never-seen-before kind of shows, ensuring quality and making sure that music is as important as the visual arts around.
OCTOV had the opportunity to perform at Piknic Electronik, Igloofest, Newspeak, Stereobar, Dômesicles (SAT), to create a partnership with The Village au Pied-du-Courant, also often plans events at Entrepôts Dominion.
OCTOV is a Montreal-base techno collective. The concept? Organise exclusive nights with a comination of sharp line-up and immersive scenography, in the most insolit places.

Who is
OCTOV for ?
Techno is music but it is also an experience and a way to convey ideas and convictions. It is also a great way to gather people, in a safe way. OCTOV is really paying close attention to its public's safety and well-being during events.
Our culture is founded on 4 pillars that are central for each project: respect, inclusivity, sharing and connecting, safety. That way, the collective surrounded itself with partners (associations, institutions, suppliers...) to raise awareness among risks, educate and protect the public during events..

Since its creation, OCTOV has been focusing on an innovative and modern line-up. It has become a reference. OCTOV also supports the local music scene by representing local DJs and VJs, as well as international artists.
